Two of my children and their families live in Brooklyn. I have grown to love their neighborhoods. One lives in Park Slope with its wonderful abundance of restaurants, brownstones and Prospect Park.
The other family lives in Ditmus Park or Flatbush where grand old Victorian houses mix with apartments and an unbelievable number of different ehnic groups.
